OUR HISTORY

The Ardmore Inn was built in 1850 for the Gillingham family, owners of the F.H. Gillingham & Sons General Store. The house remained in their family until 1994 when it was sold and developed into the Ardmore Inn.

Today the Ardmore Inn is owned and operated by Charlotte and Cary Hollingsworth, flatlanders transplanted from Southern California. Charlotte previously managed an independent bookstore in Montrose, California and Cary is a retired biology teacher.
Both decided that they wanted to live where the seasons change, where the pace of life is a bit slower and where the Fall foliage is magnificent. In January of 2003 they found Woodstock and the Ardmore Inn and began their new life as Innkeepers on July 1, 2003. Come visit us.
