Chris Bohjalian

Award-winning author Chris Bohjalian is a graduate of Amherst College and lives with his wife in Lincoln, Vermont, where they moved from New York City in 1987. He began writing weekly columns for local newspapers & magazines about living in Lincoln. His fifth book, “Midwives,” which focuses on a rural Vermont midwife, was critically acclaimed and became an Oprah Book Club selection.

Chris believes “It’s interesting who has moved here – writers, artists in general, people with an appreciation for life lived on a smaller, saner scale, an appreciation of Vermont values and nature. I like to think we’re the right people to move to Vermont”

Chris Bohjalian’s book “Idyll Banter” is one of Charlotte’s favorites – giving the reader a true and wonderful picture of what it’s like to live in a small town in Vermont.
